Could Suryakumar Yadav’s Young Brigade Retain the Asian Championship for the 9th Time in the Upcoming Asia Cup 2025, UAE?
Well, whatever the result is going to be on Sunday, 25th September, when the final gets played, one thing is clear — India currently has such a rich pool of quality players that the team could easily field two different 15-member squads in this T20 tournament.

For the selectors and management, it’s a tough job — whom to pick, whom to drop, and what to tell the players left out. But in reality, this is a positive controversy for Indian cricket, a problem of plenty!

Since 1984 till 2023, India has claimed the Asia Cup crown 8 times — the most by any Asian team. Once again, in 2025, India will look to defend the title in UAE against 7 other nations — Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman, UAE, and Hong Kong.

India has participated 15 times and successfully reached 11 finals, winning 8 titles and finishing runners-up on 3 occasions. These stats speak volumes about India’s dominance on the Asian stage.

The 2025 Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format for the third time, and there is no doubt India enters as the strongest contender. With explosive batting, a balanced squad, and fearless youngsters full of power-hitting ability, Suryakumar Yadav’s boys are all set for the big challenge.

But cricket is a game of uncertainties — so let’s wait and see what unfolds!
