Sir Ravindra, the silent assassin - Jadeja!

Sir Ravindra, the silent assassin - Jadeja!

On 24th May, when the BCCI officials announced the Indian squad for England 2025, everyone on social media was creating a buzz and raising a question mark on veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's selection for the Test team, and also making stuff, creating memes that Rohit, Virat, and Ashwin are retired and now it's Jadeja's turn due to his ageing.

36-year-old young Sir Jadeja! Always the silent assassin with his contribution towards the nation.

No PR! No drama! No controversies! No reaction to criticism! No unnecessary aggression! One and only dedication toward his game.

Moreover, he never gave statements with words, he always proved his worth with bat, ball, and most importantly, his rocket arm.

In the ongoing 'Tendulkar - Anderson Trophy' in England, Sir Ravindra Jadeja is invariably on the mark at every tense stage. When nothing goes right for India, everyone takes a deep breath and reacts as all eyes are on Sir Jadeja, and most of the time, he is always one step ahead with his tenacious and brave performance.

At this point in England, in 4 Test matches, Jadeja hammered 454 runs with an average of 113.54 and with the ball provided 7 crucial breakthroughs — record-breaking 4 back-to-back half-centuries with a resilient hundred at Old Trafford in the crucial phase of the 4th Test match. He soaked up the pressure and kept hopes alive for the series.

Meanwhile, Sir Jadeja crossed the 1000-run benchmark in England and became the third visiting player after Sir Garry Sobers (in England) and Wilfred Rhodes (in Australia) to score 1000 runs and pick up over 30 wickets in a country.

Ravindra Jadeja has continuously delivered under pressure since his debut, and his batting ability and mental toughness are far better than the so-called batsmen in this Bazball era. And with the ball, he is fantastic, and there is no question about his ability on the field with his arm.
